RUPERT’S POKER TOURNEY JOURNEY MOTORCYCLE RIDE: A DIFFERENT KIND OF RIDE!!
HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?
You will need to pre-register for this ride. Details will be posted later.
Our destination needs a lunch count ahead of time.
I DON’T LIKE GROUP RIDES.
Great! This ride will not have “leaders” so you can go at your own pace.
I REALLY ENJOY GROUP RIDES.
Great! You can ride with your friends and still go at your own pace. Let us know so we can arrange that for you.
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Our destination is called “A Summer Place” on State Road 19 north of Tipton.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
The fee is $35 for a single rider and $60 for rider with a passenger. This includes lunch.
WHATDO WE GET FOR LUNCH?
You will be served a cheeseburger/fries/soda/banana split in the fun setting of a 1950’s diner.
I DON’T WANTLUNCH.
Ok, but it’s really good. Your fee will be $25 for a single Rider & $40 for a rider with a passenger. (Registration + entrance fee)
I’D REALLY LIKE TOHAVE A SHIRT.
And who doesn’t want a Rupert shirt?! Pre-register & order before MAY 6 for $10. After June 7 – $12 order on-site for $15.
THAT’S A LONG WAY TO GO. CAN I PICK UP THE RIDE AT ONE OF THE STOPS?
Yes, but if you want it to count as an “event” ride, you must start at The House of Thunder in Gnaw Bone.
WHERE ELSE CAN I START?
You can pick up the ride at Mann’s Harley Davidson at the outlet mall or at Village Pantry in Morristown.
CAN I STILL PLAY POKER?
Yes, but you will need to buy extra cards to get your full playing hand.
SO, THIS IS A POKER RUN?
YES… It is…
Each pod or group of riders leaving at a designated time will have the same color poker record card. You will play poker with only those riders in your pod. Pods will be kept to approximately 50 riders.
Each pod will have a designated poker time. You will only be allowed to play with your designated pod at the designated time.
I don’t like riding on main highways and I hate Interstates.
No problem! We are sticking to country roads except where absolutely necessary. We will need to be on a few of the main highways for short distances but there are NO Interstates on this journey.
I don’t want to play poker.
Poker is optional. If you do choose to play, it will cost you $5.
Howmany cards do I get?
You will get 5 cards for your $5. One at the start, one at the end, and one at each of the 3 stops along the way.
Well, I’m not sure my chances of winning are very good with only 5 cards.
You can fix that problem by opting to purchase an extra card at each poker stop. Each card is an additional $5.
WOW! If I did that, I could have 10 cards to play.
Sorry. You WILL have 10 cards if you take advantage of that but you have to choose only 5 as your playing hand.
